XPages Performance settings disappear

Folks I have a few end users who see their Xpages settings in preferences disappear. This seems to occur after a reboot (possibly from a crash, not caused by Notes). Has any one else experienced this or have any clue why this could happen , and where these preferences are stored?

 

Any help greatly appreciated

I've noticed this on 853, on one machine.

I don't have an answer, but yeah I've seen something like it.
